Low-Carb Recipes Using 5 Ingredients

Complexity is the enemy of consistency. When you are tired, you don't want a 20-step recipe. These recipes use 5 main ingredients (we assume you have salt, pepper, oil, and water).

1. Pesto Chicken Bake

  1. Chicken Breast
  2. Jarred Pesto
  3. Mozzarella cheese slices
  4. Tomato slices

Method: Put chicken in dish. Top with pesto, tomato, cheese. Bake 30 mins at 375°F.

2. Sausage & Peppers Skillet

  1. Italian Sausages
  2. Bell Peppers (sliced)
  3. Onion (sliced)
  4. Marinara Sauce (low sugar)

Method: Brown sausage slices. Add veggies. Cook til soft. Add sauce to heat through.

3. Egg Roll in a Bowl (Crack Slaw)

  1. Ground Beef or Pork
  2. Bag of Coleslaw Mix (cabbage/carrots)
  3. Soy Sauce
  4. Garlic powder
  5. Ginger (fresh or powder)

Method: Brown meat. Add cabbage mix and spices. Stir fry until cabbage wilts.

4. Salmon with Lemon Butter

  1. Salmon fillets
  2. Butter
  3. Lemon juice
  4. Garlic
  5. Parsley

Method: Pan fry salmon. Melt butter, lemon, garlic in pan. Spoon over fish.
